Hometown: San Diego, CA.

Personal Background: Grew up in the sun and surf of southern California. I credit my wife with my demise as a brewer. She introduced me to the flavors of Sierra Nevada and gave me my first home brewing kit. Give a man a good beer and he’ll waste an hour, teach him to brew and he’ll waste a lifetime! Relocated to Chicago in 1996 and attended Siebel Institute for Brewing. Started knocking on brewer’s doors. Spent two years with Weinkeller/River West breweries then ten years brewing for Prairie Rock Brewing Co.

Brewing Philosophy: The three C’s. Being creative, contientious, and careful!

Favorite Brew: It really depends on where, when, and who you are with. Usually hoppy Pale Ales though.
